Contributing to the reputation of the skill

What are tomorrow's corporate training challenges?

The ISFB was present yesterday at the Salon RH at Beaulieu Lausanne to discuss the challenges facing the world of continuing education, alongside RTS(Eva Di Fortunato), UNIGE(Nathalie Delobbe), and CEP(Patrick Favre), moderated by Marc Benninger (HR Today).

Mathias Baitan spoke about the development of the continuing education market in the Swiss banking sector, and the central role played by ISFB as the professional association for French-speaking Switzerland. He explained how technical and managerial training are essential links in the development of a professional career. The key role played by ISFB in supporting the development of interactional skills, through its range of career guidance, coaching, mentoring and assessment services specific to the banking world, was also highlighted.

In addition, all the speakers noted that continuing vocational training is tending to become more individualized. In the academic field, for example, training courses are increasingly modular, while in the field of continuing vocational training, short courses are more popular than longer ones. There is also a tendency for companies to turn more and more to training institutes for so-called "intra-company" courses, tailor-made to meet the specific needs of participants in a particular context.

ISFB is fully in line with this context, which is similar for most players in the field of continuing education. As a professional association, ISFB provides its institutional members with a wide range of tools for skills development, and pools certain resources that are essential for maintaining technical knowledge. For example, in the credit business, where experts on the job market are rare, training new specialists in the specific context of an organization enables skills to be developed and then recognized intern ally, rather than having to seek them out on a dry job market. This is one of the challenges facing HR departments in financial institutions.

Contributing to the reputation of the skill

As a professional association, the ISFB operates within an ecosystem made up of numerous stakeholders: on the one hand, member institutions, their employees and the general public interested in banking and finance; and on the other, public and private players, training centers and universities, involved in initial or continuing training, career development and advice. What they all have in common is that they are active in the management of banking and financial skills.
